Chris Thile’s new band to debut on Nonesuch Records

The Punch BrothersChris Thile, mandolin player for Nickel Creek, has a new band and a new record deal. The Punch Brothers will release their debut album on Nonesuch Records. The project is slated for a February 2008 release date.
The Punch Brothers consist of Chris Eldridge on guitar, Gate Witcher on violin, Greg Garrison on bass and Noam Pikelny on banjo.
Chris Thile, along with band mates Sara and Sean Watkins are taking an indefinite hiatus from their progressive acoustic outfit, Nickel Creek.
