IIIrd Tyme Out

Burlington, MA - IIIrd Tyme Out, one of bluegrass’s most beloved bands, will release “Footprints: A IIIrd Tyme Out Collection” January 8 and is the second installment in Rounder’s “Cream of the Crop” series of anthologies. Featuring thirteen favorite tracks and two exclusive new recordings, Footprints is a best-of from their Rounder years and highlights the band’s classic lineup of Russell Moore (guitar, lead vocal), Ray Deaton (bass, bass vocal), Wayne Benson (mandolin, vocal), Steve Dilling (banjo, vocal), and Mike Hartgrove (fiddle).

Winner of an unprecedented seven consecutive Vocal Group of the Year awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association, IIIrd Tyme Out balances soul and precision to create bluegrass that is both contemporary and timeless, exciting and emotional. They dazzle audiences with tight instrumental work, classy song selections, and, most noticeably, thrilling lead and harmony vocals.
