Scruggs to help with salute to Steve Martin
Bluegrass icon Earl Scruggs will perform this weekend in a tribute to another legend — film actor and comic Steve Martin, who is set to receive a Kennedy Center Honor in Washington, D.C.
Besides his abilities to act on film and tickle the funny bones, Martin plays Scruggs-style five string banjo.
Famed fiddler Mark O’Connor will also perform during the tribute, which will be taped for a Dec. 26 telecast on CBS.
