Grasstowne hits homerun for Pinecastle
From Pinecastle Records
December brings Grasstowne numerous causes for celebration. Not only will the group be commemorating their one-year anniversary, but they will also be honored with a No. 1 album, “The Road Headin’ Home,” on Bluegrass Unlimited’s National Bluegrass Survey.
Also reveling in the celebration, The Road Headin’ Home marks Pinecastle Records’ first No. 1 album to appear on the National Bluegrass Survey. The album’s single, “Dixie Flyer,” has broken into the top 5 and currently sits at No. 5 on the Bluegrass Unlimited’s December chart. The single is also holding at No. 1 on Bluegrass Music Profiles’ top 20 singles for December.
Comprised of Steve Gulley, Phil Leadbetter, Alan Bibey, Jason Davis and Jamey Booher, Grasstowne is a group that can easily boast of its roster. With more than years in friendship and musicianship, the members of Grasstowne have forged a fresh, new sound that has listeners thankful for the group’s emergence. Only one year after their formation, it is impressive that Grasstowne is already celebrating a No. 1 album
“Thanks so much to the fans, DJ’s, promoters and Pinecastle Records for making this such an unbelievable year for Grasstowne. We’re having such a great time and I believe it really shows in person and on the recording! Thank you for making The Road Headin’ Home No. 1.”Alan Bibey
“It’s such an honor to think that we’ve been so well received as a new band so early on. Having our debut project go No. 1 is truly amazing, It really gives validation to what we’re trying to do and lets us know we’re on the right track. Thanks to everyone in the bluegrass community for their support. We couldn’t be happier.”Steve Gulley
