Donna Ulisse showing up on radio and in industry magazines
Donna UlisseBluegrass Now magazine writer and NPR radio show host Dave Higgs ran a two page piece on Donna in the November issue of Bluegrass Now under the “Bands To Watch” section while the British magazine “Country Music People” ran a very favorable review on the CD in their October issue. The song “I Want To Grow Old With You” is the second song off the project to be included on a Prime Cuts of Bluegrass compilation release.
Cindy Baucom, host of the extremely popular syndicated bluegrass radio show “Knee Deep in Bluegrass” recently spotlighted Donna in an interview she taped at IBMA World of Bluegrass and Ulisse also did a phone interview with Marie Crichton, host of the Country Programme on BBC Radio, Shropshire, England. Crichton has continued to play cuts off Ulisse’s Atlantic release from several years ago and is now playing selections off the new release on a regular basis. As Ulisse said, “it’s great to be remembered by the fans in the UK and all over Europe. Those folks don’t forget you!”
To emphasize the point, Ulisse’s camp just learned that Maverick Magazine of the UK is running an extremely positive review of the CD in their January issue and requested a phone interview with Ulisse for a feature story to run in an early spring issue.
Ulisse will be ending 2007 on a positive note in the XM Satellite radio studios with Kyle Cantrell, host of Bluegrass Junction on Wednesday, December, 19, taping an interview and playing tracks off “When I Look Back” to be aired at a later date.
