The Time Jumpers will make their debut on the Grand Ole Opry, on February 2, 2008. All of The Time Jumpers have appeared on The Opry either as side musicians or as members of other bands, but never in this form.

The Time Jumpers, an 11-piece super group, have been performing their take on Western Swing every Monday night at the world-famous Station Inn for over 10 years. The weekly event began as a let-your-hair-down-play-what-you-want therapy session for a handful of Nashville’s best session and touring musicians. It continues to be that but over the years has become the place where the best musicians go to hear the best musicians. The Time Jumpers have been joined on Monday nights but such performers as Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Buffet, Sheryl Crow, Robert Plant, Norah Jones, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Ronnie Dunn, and many, many others.

The Time Jumpers’ include Kenny Sears, Joe Spivey and Aubrey Haynie on Fiddles, Dennis Crouch on Bass, Ranger Doug Green on rhythm guitar, Andy Reiss on guitar, Rick Vanaugh on drums, Jeff Taylor on accordian, Carolyn Martin and Dawn Sears on Vocals and the late John Hughey on Steel.

WNPT, Nashville’s public television station, recently aired a live performance special with The Time Jumpers. The special was well received and will begin airing nationally on public television in early 2008. A DVD of this performance is available through The Time Jumper’s website.

The Time Jumpers recently earned their first Grammy nominations. The underground, all-star band garnered nominations in two categories. “Sweet Memories” was nominated for Best Country Vocal Performance By A Duo or Group with Vocals, and “Fidoodlin’” was nominated for Best Country Instrumental Performance.
