Bluegrass on the Grand Ole Opry this week
Charlie DanielsLegendary country superstar Charlie Daniels will be inducted as the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry on January 19, 2008 at the Ryman Auditorium, where the Opry is being held through March 1, 2008. Daniels was surprised with the invitation from Opry member Martina McBride during his annual Christmas For Kids benefit show in November.
Opry members Marty Stuart and Connie Smith will help to honor Daniels during this special evening.
Charlie Daniels latest release “Deuces” features The Del McCoury Band, Dolly Parton, Earl, Gary and Randy Scruggs, Vince Gill and Marty Stuart among the list of guest artists appearing on the CD.
