Tuesday Night Opry is back for the season.
The Tuesday night Grand Ole Opry returns to the air waves tonight, March 4, for the 2008 season. The occasion marks the end of the Opry’s 4 month run at the historic Ryman Auditorium, the Mother Church of Country Music. The Opry will resume it’s weekly broadcasts from the Grand Ole Opry House located within the Opry Entertainment Complex next to the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Opry Mills.
The Ryman Auditorium was home to the Grand Ole Opry from June 5, 1943 until March 15, 1974 when it moved to it’s current location at the Opry Entertainment Complex.
Along with the Del McCoury Band (7:30-8:00 pm), the first Tuesday Night Opry of the year will feature Keith Anderson, Eric Church, Jimmy Dickens, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Diamond Rio, Jeannie Seely and Steve Wariner.
The Grand Ole Opry is broadcast live on WSM 650 AM radio, online at www.WSMonline.com and on XM Satellite Radio (XM 11). All listed times are central time.
