WDVX hosts a Hootenanny
Today, March 12 at Noon (Eastern) tune into WDVX and catch “The Blueplate Special” with guests The Two-Man Gentlemen Band. If you’re out of range of WDVX’s radio signal tune in online.
The official word on these guys, according to the groups promotional material: “each is a master kazooist and badminton enthusiast, and together they combine hot jazz, old-time country, Tin Pan Alley and vaudevillian swing to create an old-fashioned, down-home hootenanny.”
Blue Highway on the road with Mountain Stage
Blue Highway is on the bill for Mountain Stage at Tamarack in West Virginia this coming Sunday, March 16th. The Concert starts at 7:00PM and will take place at the Tamarack Conference Center in Tamarack, WV. Also scheduled to perform on this “On the Road” edition of Mountain Stage is Tony Furtado, Larry Sparks, Carrie Newcomer, John Lilly and the Mountain Stage Band.
Mountain Stage is an Internationally-distributed weekly, two-hour live performance program produced by West Virginia Public Broadcasting.
Charlie Sizemore has String of Midwest dates this week.
Sizemore is back in the northlands this week when he presents a run of 3 concerts in Wisconsin and Illinois. Included is a performance at the Chicago Bluegrass Legends Concert Series at the American Legion Hall in Evanston, IL.
