Dixie Bee-Liners to celebrate new CD
On the heels of this week’s release of their new CD, the Dixie Bee-Liners are planning two release parties.
Called “Ripe,” the Pinecastle CD went on sale Tuesday.
The Station Inn, Nashville, Tenn.’s bluegrass Mecca, will host the first CD release party on Friday (April 18). The second party will be held in Bee-Liners’ hometown of Abingdon, Va., on April 21 at The Barter Theatre.
Pinecastle is touting the early acknowledgment the album has achieved. The project also achieved rankings on the Bluegrass Unlimited chart this month.
“Ripe” was produced by lGrammy-winning producer Bil VornDick, who has directed projects for Alison Krauss, Ralph Stanley, Bob Dylan, Jim Lauderdale and James Taylor.
The album includes guest appearances from band alumnus Andy Falco (now with the Infamous Stringdusters), Mark Fain and Andy Leftwich of Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, ex-Grascal David Talbot, and dobro player Travis Toy from Rascal Flatts.
