Common Strings inks deal with Lou Bell Records

Blairsville,GA — Acoustic group Common Strings has signed a recording contract with Lou Bell Records of Knoxville Tennessee. The group consisting of Darron and Vanessa Nichols, Blake McDaniel and Ethan Walker are very excited about the new record deal.
Lou Bell Records and Ole Hisser Publishing Company plan to distribute the group’s CD titled, The Rain Came Down through Sony RED, to reach music outlets world wide. The CD will be on all major digital outlets such as iTunes, CD Baby, and Amazon on the web as well.
Common Strings will be recording thirteen original songs all written by Darron, Vanessa and Blake. The group will record at Rice Recordings in Damascus Virginia in June. Wyatt Rice, owner and brother to guitarist Tony Rice, will be the producer of the project. Wyatt has made quiet a name for himself in the recording industry. His latest project for Rebel Records Artist, Steep Canyon Rangers has and is still climbing the charts.

The label has not set an official release date but it should be available by mid summer. Plans are in the works for a Release Tour starting at the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Convention in Nashville Tennessee in October and will continue through 2009.
