EDITOR’S NOTE: This is the second of two blogs written exclusively for BluegrassJournal.com by members of Mountain Heart, which is gearing up for an appearance at the BamaJam Music Festival that takes place June 5-7 in Enterprise, AL. The author here is Mountain Heart’s captivating lead singer Josh Shilling.
We’ve already talked about how excited we are to be a part of the lineup at the BamaJam Music & Arts Festival in Enterprise, Alabama, this weekend.
We are huge fans of the other artists on the bill, including Lynyrd Skynyrd. A few weeks ago we played a show with Tony Rice in Ellijay, Georgia.
A young woman came up to the merch table and said hello. She said her dad was also a musician and that he was a big fan of ours. Turns out her dad is none other than Bob Burns, former drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd!
We had a great time visiting with him and expressing our mutual admiration.
