(Updated) Bean Blossom festival still on after severe storms drop up to 10 inches of rain
Bean Blossom, IN — Due to severe storms that hit Indiana over the weekend, the Bill Monroe Music Park has been inundated with phone calls asking if the Bill Monroe Memorial Bluegrass Festival is continuing. In a statement issued today, Dwight Dillman, owner of the park stated “yes. The festival is still underway as planned.”
While the park did have some flood damage, the Park and Maintenance Crew have been diligently working around the clock resolving any water problems. All water and electricity has now been restored. Attendees traveling to the Bill Monroe Music Park should check ahead for road closures or detours and allow a little extra time for travel.
