Kindred Records recently re-issued “Now That You Are Gone” from the Tommy Webb Band. Webb, who calls Floyd County Kentucky home, originally released the project independently and has also recently signed a deal with Kindred Records.
Kindred Records, based on fan response from the live shows, is now promoting the single “Hard Row To Hoe” from the album to Bluegrass Radio and Webcasters alike. Below is a video
“Perhaps the highlight of the album is a great performance of “Hard Row To Hoe,” a fine Jimmy Rushing song that was lost on one of Ricky Skaggs later country albums… this one’s a gem, as is the entire disc. What a pleasure to hear someone who sings it like he means it—tastefully and without pretensions or gimmicks.” E-FolkMusic
The Tommy Webb Band features Tommy Webb on guitar and occasional claw-hammer banjo, Chris Goble on banjo, Kenny O’Quinn on mandolin and guitar and Danny Stiltner on bass.
“Hard Row To Hoe” - The Tommy Webb Band. Recorded January 12, 2008 at the Mountain Arts Center, Prestonsburg, Ky. Melvin Goins Homecoming event.
