Rounder Artists round up the IMBA Award Nominations

Burlington, MA — Rounder Records is pleased to announce numerous nominations for its artists by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) for the 19TH Annual IBMA awards. The awards show will take place in Nashville at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Thursday, October 2 at 8:30 pm CST.
Continuing the pattern from previous years, Rounder recording artists earned multiple nominations, sweeping the category for Song of the Year. They also received 3 out of 5 nominations for Entertainer of the Year. Jamie Dailey was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year while Darrin Vincent was nominated for Bass Player of the Year. Together Dailey & Vincent led the way with 10 nominations. Danny Paisley and the Southern Grass received 3 nominations, including Emerging Artist of the Year. The Dan Tyminski Band tied with fellow artist Blue Highway for 6 nominations apiece. Dan Tyminski was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year while fellow band member Ron Stewart was nominated for 2 instruments, Banjo Player of the Year and Fiddle Player of the Year. Blue Highway was nominated for Vocal Group of the Year as well as Instrumental Group of the Year among others, while Rob Ickes received his own nomination for Dobro Player of the Year and Tim Stafford for Guitar Player of the Year. First time nominee The SteelDrivers received 3 nominations including Album of the Year while Sierra Hull, another first time nominee, was nominated for Mandolin Player of the Year.
