“Four Days of Infamy” The Infamous Stringdusters (part 1 of 4) 30-minute documentary produced by Craig Havighurst of String Theory Media. It follows the Stringdusters during a four-day swing through Colorado in the Winter of 2007. (See “Other Media” below for links to parts 2 through 4)
A year after making its proverbial big splash at the International Bluegrass Music Association’s World of Bluegrass, the Infamous Stringdusters are roaring back with a finalist nomination for Instrumental Group of the Year.
Last year’s “Fork in the Road” was the CD that introduced the band to the bluegrass industry and fans. It won IBMA’s Album of the Year and the title track was named Song of the Year. The band itself earned the honor of best emerging artist in 2007.
The group indeed includes plenty of string wizards, including Andy Hall on dobro’ Andy Falco, the new member of the group on guitar; Chris Pandolfi on banjo; Jeremy Garrett on fiddle; Jesse Cobb on mandolin; and Travis Book on bass.
This summer the group came out with its second CD on the Sugar Hill label. Simply titled, “The Infamous Stringdusters,” the CD was produced by bluegrass great Tim O’Brien. It includes nine band originals, including three instrumentals written by Cobb, Pandolfi and Hall.
