Jamie Dailey, up for the IBMA Male Vocalist award this year, is no stranger to the stage. As far back as he can remember, he has been performing. Starting at age three, Jamie knew he wanted to be a singer. Dailey began playing bass with his fathers band in his pre-teens, eventually starting his own band called Highland Rim.

Jamie Dailey was a part of the group for two years when he was called upon by the great Doyle Lawson to join his group Quicksilver. Jamie made a name for himself with Lawson with his incredible range of singing and great stage presence.

Jamie Dailey is also no stranger to awards. During his nine year tenure with Lawson, the group racked up 13 IBMA awards and four grammy nominations. Jamie left the group in August of 2007 to start a new band with long time friend Darrin Vincent. As Dailey & Vincent, the group has set the bluegrass world afire.
