Russell Moore nominated again for Male Vocalist of the Year

Russell Moore, looking to pick up his 3rd IBMA Male Vocalist award, is another that cut his teeth in the bluegrass world picking and singing with Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver. Russell Moore sang lead, harmonies, and played guitar with Doyle for six years and recorded seven albums with the group.
In 1991, Russell Moore left the group to help form the bluegrass super group IIIrd Tyme Out. Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out are still pounding the bluegrass circuit to much acclaim. Russell has taken home the IBMA Male Vocalist Award in both 1994 and 1997 while IIIrd Tyme Out has seven consecutive IBMA awards for Vocal Group of the Year to their credit.
