Hunter Berry & Darrell Webb “Son Drop In”

Hunter Berry, who has played fiddle professionally nearly all his young life, is hoping to pick up his first IBMA Fiddle Player of the Year award this year. Influenced by many great fiddlers such as Benny Martin and Kenny Baker, Berry currently plays fiddle in Rhonda Vincent’s group “The Rage”.

Hunter Berry began playing at the age of nine, and by the 16 was on the road with Melvin Goins. After a year, Hunter was asked to go on the road with Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver. Berry’s smooth yet raucus style caught the ear of Rhonda Vincent, and after roughly a year, and still in his teens, Hunter began playing with Rhonda Vincent and The Rage.

Berry has recorded one solo album, “Wow Baby” that featured Berry’s take on several traditional fiddle tunes and featured guest appearances from Tony Rice, Doyle Lawson, Darrin Vincent, Marty Stuart, Bobby Osborne, Ron Stewart, Bryan Sutton and legendary nashville A-list session bass player Bob Moore and several more.
