Springfield, IL. — Oct. 25 is the final day to order advance weekend passes for the 22nd annual Greater Downstate Indoor Bluegrass Festival at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield, Ill., generally regarded as one of the Prairie State’s premier bluegrass events.

Headliners this year include Dailey & Vincent, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, The Grascals, Nothin’ Fancy, Dry Branch Fire Squad and Kenny & Amanda Smith.

The festival will be held Nov. 7-9.

Reservations are also coming due for a banjo camp led by Bill Evans that’s being held in conjunction with the festival. Camp registration, which includes a lunch voucher, costs $120. The day-long camp will be held Friday.

Advance audience passes for the weekend cost $50 for reserved seating and $45 for general admission.

The festival includes a guitar show, featuring new and vintage instruments from several dealers, instrument workshops on Saturday, areas for jamming and a bluegrass talent show on Saturday morning.

Hotel reservations are also being taken now for the Crowne Plaza, at $88 a night, or the adjoining Holiday Inn Express, at $79 a night. The number to call to make room reservations for either facility is 217/529-7777 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
