Country Music Hall of Fame® releases 2009 calendar & DVDs

Nashville, Tenn., — The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum has released its official calendar for 2009.
The 2009 calendar features 12 colorful portraits of many of country music’s most popular artists: Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Gretchen Wilson.
The 12″ x 12″ wall calendar also includes dozens of archival photos from the Museum’s collection, and country music facts for every day of the year. The calendar is published by Universe Publishing, retails for $13.99 and is available at the Museum and retail outlets nationwide.
Also out this fall are a pair of DVDs produced by Shout! Factory and the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum showcasing classic performances by country music legends Tammy Wynette and Marty Robbins. With unreleased footage culled from the Museum’s collection, Tammy Wynette: Legendary Performances and Marty Robbins: Legendary Performances capture these iconic artists in the prime of their careers. DVD extras include extended interviews with Wynette and Robbins, and their inductions into the Country Music Hall Fame. The DVDs retail for $14.98 each.
To bring in the holidays, the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum has partnered again with Shout! Factory to release two more volumes of Johnny Cash’s legendary Christmas specials. The Johnny Cash Christmas Special 1978 and 1979 are both available to purchase individually, or as part of the 4-DVD box set The Johnny Cash Christmas Specials 1976-1979. The newly released specials unearthed from the Museum’s collection haven’t been seen in over 30 years and include special guests Kris Kristofferson, Steve Martin, Rita Coolidge, Tom T. Hall, Andy Kaufman and more. The Johnny Cash Christmas Special 1976 and 1977 were released in 2007. Individual DVDs retail for $14.98 each, and the 4-DVD box set retails for $42.98.
