Liz Thiels to be honored in 2nd annual Louise Scruggs Memorial Forum

Nashville, Tenn. — In honor of late music industry pioneer Louise Scruggs, the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will host a special interview with Museum Senior Vice President for Public Relations Liz Thiels on Tuesday, November 18, at 6:00 p.m. In a career spanning nearly four decades, Thiels, an early co-owner of the Exit/In and founder and owner of influential music industry PR firm Network Ink, has broadened the scope of music public relations in Nashville and has nurtured and trained legions of Music City’s current PR professionals.

Rick Hayes departs The Gibson Brothers

After nearly 4 years on the road with The Gibson Brothers, Rick Hayes, the groups mandolin player has left the group. According to Hayes’ web site, Rick will be putting in “some extra time making his mandolins and guitars for now. Everyone involved is comfortable with the decision.”

Becky Schlegel makes appearance on RFD TV

Nashville, TN (November 3, 2008) -Minnesota songbird Becky Schlegel reached out to an estimated 30 million viewers when she appeared recently on RFD TV’s Midwest Country Theater (www.rfdtv.com). Also performing on the show was John Rex Reeves, nephew of the late Jim Reeves.
