2009 DelFest tickets on sale now

Cumberland, MD — Just in time for holiday gift-giving, Delfest early bird passes, VIP Packages, and RV passes are on sale now and can be purchased online only for the time being. The 2nd Annual Delfest takes place Memorial Day Weekend May 22-24, 2009, Cumberland, MD.
A limited number of discounted adult 3-day passes are once again available for just $99 through January 12th or while supplies last. 3-day passes for kids aged 6-12 are $30, with kids 5 and under admitted free. RV passes with hookups are $125 and the hookup is guaranteed until 8pm on Friday, May 22nd. Dry RV Passes, or RV passes without hookups, are $40. Be aware that RV passes are limited in number and are likely to sell out in advance.
DelFest also offers a limited number of VIP Packages that include everything you need to take your festival experience to the next level. All packages include three-day festival passes plus access to a VIP lounge near the Grandstand Stage, giving you an opportunity to catch your favorite artists up close. The VIP Lounge will feature elevated viewing, private port-o-johns, a massage chair (limited hours), beverages and snacks. Additionally, each day there will be a happy hour and Artist Meet and Greet. VIP purchasers will have a separate entry procedure, the option for early entry on Thursday evening, and designated VIP camping areas. Packages also include tickets to all Late Night shows plus festival t-shirts, festival posters and drink tickets. These packages are designed for both individuals and groups of two. VIP Package #3 includes an RV pass with guaranteed, reserved hook-up.
Besides traditional stage sets by artists at Delfest, expect to see one-of-a-kind collaborations, special guest sit-ins, and various tributes to Del McCoury and his musical legacy. Each day’s schedule will also feature more intimate appearances and opportunities to interact with your favorite artists, both at unique playshops and in late night indoor performances and picking sessions. Introducing DelFest Academy!
Attention all students of bluegrass music! The inaugural DelFest Academy will be offered May 18-21, 2009 at our festival site in Cumberland, MD, featuring three days of classes and performances for banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar and bass as taught by members of the Del McCoury band and others. Enrollment and more information in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
