Nashville, Tenn. — The International Bluegrass Music Association is hopping on the holiday shopping bandwagon with its own gift ideas for bluegrass fans.

IBMA is suggesting that tickets for next year’s World of Bluegrass in Nashville, Tenn., would make a dandy stocking stuffer.

The World of Bluegrass includes the IBMA Awards Show, Bluegrass Fan Fest and the annual business conference.

“It’s equal parts family reunion, star-filled, (and a) jam session like no other,” IBMA says in a news release. “Better not fall asleep and risk missing something for seven days in the heart of Music City, USA.

The 2009 World of Bluegrass runs from Sept. 28 to Oct. 4.

IBMA is offering gift certificates in any dollar value to apply toward 2009 World of Bluegrass registration, IBMA Awards Show tickets and the Bluegrass Fan Fest.

Other shopping suggestions from IBMA include gift memberships to the organization as well as World of Bluegrass and IBMA merchandise, including posters, hats and shirts,.
