Steeldrivers garner Grammy® nomination

Nashville, Tenn. — In one of those unlikely and surprising Grammy nominations, Nashville’s homegrown and unique sounding The SteelDrivers’ have been nominated for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group along with country superstars Rascal Flatts, Brooks ‘n Dunn, Sugarland and Lady Antebellum.

Music Row Magazine’s Bob Oermann wrote of their 2008 self-titled debut on Rounder Records, “The SteelDrivers combine backwoods bluegrass with deep-fried soul.”

IBMA maps out annual gathering through 2012

Whatcha doin’ in late September 2012?

If you’re a bluegrass fanatic or part of the industry, you can mark your calendars now. The International Bluegrass Music Association has entered into a new three-year contract to host the annual World of Bluegrass events through 2012, the organization said in a recent statement.
