DelFest announces three-day academy

Still consider yourself a student, no matter what your age? Especially, a student of bluegrass music? If so, Del McCoury and his DelFest have something special for you.

The inaugural DelFest Academy will be offered May 18-21 at the DelFest festival site in Cumberland, Md. It will feature three days of classes and performances for banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar and bass as taught by members of the Del McCoury Band and others.

Blaylock, Redline score early with CD

Audie Blaylock & Redline are scoring plenty of success with their new self-titled CD — and it’s weeks away from the official release date.

“Lonesome Weary Heart,” a cut off the CD, is No. 1 again on XM Radio’s DogStar Chart for the second time in December.
