Nashville, Tenn. — Following approval of a $750,000 settlement with the Robert W. McLean estate in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee last week, the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is launching a $1.1 million fundraising campaign specifically designed to defray all costs associated with the institution’s acquisition of four instruments integral to the creativity and cultural legacies of the late Maybelle Carter, Johnny Cash and Bill Monroe….

The Musical Heritage Center of Middle Tennessee in Pegram is hosting t a Matt Flinner mandolin workshop for players of all ability levels from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Fiddle & Pick in Pegram.

Topics will include new approaches to rhythm playing. Flinner will share a few standard bluegrass songs and examine different ways of playing rhythm behind them….

Hendersonville, Tenn. — BlueHighways TV (BHTV), the multi-platform network that explores the people, stories, traditions and music of America, announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with JetBroadband.
