Cleveland, Flamekeeper doing benefit for bluegrass museum

Kingpin bluegrass fiddler Michael Cleveland and his band Flamekeeper, will perform at “Bluegrass Returns To It’s Roots” in Owensboro, Ky., on Friday (April 3).
The band will also perform a special free concert in support of the International Bluegrass Music Museum in Owensboro.
The group will perform two shows — at 4:40 and 7:30 p.m. — for “Bluegrass Returns To It’s Roots, ” at River Park Center in Owensboro. In addition, Cleveland will offer a fiddle workshop at 11 a.m. and Flamekeeper bandmate Jesse Brock will host a mandolin workshop at noon.
In a show of support for the International Bluegrass Music Museum in Owensboro, Cleveland & Flamekeeper will offer a free concert in the museum’s theater at 2 p.m. followed by a “meet and greet”.
Admission to the museum and concert is free with the purchase of a weekend pass to “Bluegrass Returns To It’s Roots”
Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, led by six-time International Bluegrass Music Association Fiddle Player of the Year Michael Cleveland, also includes Darrell Webb on guitar and vocals, Jesse Brock on mandolin and vocals, Jessie Baker on banjo and vocals and bluegrass legend Marshall Wilborn on bass and vocals.
Museum admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 7 and older and free for children under 6. Admission to the concert is included with a museum ticket.
“Bluegrass Returns To It’s Roots” is located at River Park Center in Owensboro, with the International Bluegrass Music Museum in the same complex.
