Fred Robbins name may be familiar to some of you. Especially if you’re a die hard Bluegrass Unlimited fanatic. Fred has penned a couple of articles for Bluegrass Unlimited over the years, most notably a story about Fincastle 1966 Bluegrass Festival that appeared in the May 2003 edition.
Fred has also assembled a great collection of historic photo’s that he shot through the years. Recently he began scanning them into the computer and has painstakingly cleaned them up. Images in Fred’s collection include the 1972 Country Gentleman Indian Ranch Bluegrass Festival, ’67 and ’68 Union Grove Old Time Fiddler’s Convention, ’73 and ’71 Culpeper-Warrenton Bluegrass Festival, couple years from the Berkshire Mountains Bluegrass Festival and more.
