Bluegrass Bands and Helping Hands formed, Benefit planned

Dalton, GA,. — With an unemployment rate of 12 plus percent, the city of Dalton, Georgia, the Carpet Capital of the World, has quickly become a ranking contender for the Unemployment Capital of the Southeast. Area bluegrass musicians have stepped up to the challenge, forming an organization called Bluegrass Bands and Helping Hands, for the sole purpose of raising money for DOC-UP a local charitable organization.

John Mceuen makes his first apperance at the Strutting Duck

Auburn, Ala. — String wizard, John Mceuen will be playing an intimate solo set in Auburn, Alabama at the Strutting Duck Pub and Grill on April 19, 2009. The show will be one long set starting at 8:00pm. The Strutting Duck advertises itself as “the best place in Auburn for live music and great food”.
