Spring Creek "Way Up On A Mountain" (Rebel Records)
Colorado-based Spring Creek will celebrate the release of its new Rebel Records CD, “Way Up on a Mountain,” at a release party May 9 at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, Colo.
The show at the theater, located at 2034 14th St. begins at 8 p.m.
“Way Up on a Mountain” is the band’s first CD on the Rebel label. Ironically, it will mark the group’s second CD to hit retail shelves in recent months. Spring Creek’s release, “Lonesome Way to Go,” on an independent label and produced by Sally Van Meter, is still gaining airplay from bluegrass deejays.
Spring Creek burst onto the national stage in 2007, when the group won band contests at both Telluride and Rocky Grass festivals. It was the first time one band had one both contests in the same year.
