Mike Compton to give workshop at Georgia benefit

Eryn Eubanks and The Family Fold Old Time Music Festival in Augusta, Ga., will host Grammy award-winner Mike Compton as part of the event, which will also includes a Compton-led mandolin workshop on Saturday, June 13.
The festival is a benefit for Lynndale, Inc., a community support service organization meeting the needs of developmentally challenged individuals since 1952.
Festival performers in addition to Compton include Charlotte Ritchie from the Gaither Gospel Series and many regional and local musicians and singer/songwriters. Among them are the Savannah River Stringband, Restoration Praise, Joey Hancock, the Sugar Loaf Mountain Boys and Carl Black.
The Mike Compton mandolin workshop and a plate of Sconyers Barbeque is included with each purchased ticket.
