Bean Blossom, IN. — The 4th Annual Youth Bluegrass Boot Camp, sponsored by First Quality Music Supply, Recording King, J. D. Crowe and The New South, and Central Indiana Bluegrass, will take place Sunday-Tuesday – June 14 – 16, 2009. Camp Organizer, Sarah Wasson has added more professional instructors and classes due to popular demand with over 70 kids signed up to date – well over the 50 originally planned. Now only a few slots remain for: Intermediate and Advance Guitar; Intermediate or Advance Mandolin; and Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Banjo.

The Youth Bluegrass Boot Camp is open to interested youth between 6-18 years old for a FUN, but structured camp. The camps include small groups and one-on-one sessions – beginning through advanced. There will be over 16 hours of hands on instruction (banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar and bass) covering topics such as: basic instrument care and handling, vocals and harmonies, stage presence and working with microphones, songwriting, jam etiquette – you name it!

The Youth Bluegrass Camp will be held during the 43rd Annual Bill Monroe Memorial Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival (June 13-20, 2009) at the Bill Monroe Music Park and Campground located 5 miles North of Nashville, Indiana on State Road 135.
