CD box set salutes Del McCoury’s 50 years

"Celebrating 50 Years of Del McCoury" (McCoury Music)
As a climax to a months-long celebration of Del McCoury’s 50 years in the bluegrass business, McCoury Music is releasing a 50 song box set of the hottest Del McCoury tunes from the last 50 years. The label is calling the release “the ultimate collection of Del McCoury’s music.”
“We tried to put together a package for everyone,” the label said in a press release. “First, all box sets will be autographed, and also will come with a ‘Best of Del McCoury Gospel‘ CD that you can’t get anywhere else. You can also upgrade your package to include a live Del McCoury Band show recording and an autographed print of the artwork.”
People who place orders will also receive a secret link and password to a Web page where they can hear all 50 songs and view all of the artwork online immediately.
“We also have one more option that will make a great gift for friends,” the press release state. “In addition to the box set we’ve compiled a ‘By Request‘ CD, which includes the 14 songs that the McCourys felt were the songs that they hear the fans request during their shows each night.”
