Mill Hall, PA — The Millbrook Playhouse in Mill Hall, PA will present an evening of Bluegrass Music tomorrow, May 9 from 7:00 – 10:00 PM. Tickets to the event are available for $12 and children under 12 will be admitted free with paid adult. The event benefits the Smoked Country Jam Bluegrass Festival and Millbrook Playhouse.

This year’s event will feature The Lykens Valley Bluegrass Band. Based in Millersburg, PA, The Lykens Valley Bluegrass Band has been entertaining audiences throughout the state for almost 30 years. The Lykens Valley Bluegrass Band plays a lively mix of traditional and contemporary music.

Opening the show is “The Summer Reign Trio”, a group of performers from central PA, who play a lively mix of traditional and progressive bluegrass and old time music. Led by Laura Orshaw, on fiddle and vocals, the group also includes Cory Kodish on guitar, and George Woods, on 5-string banjo. The trio’s song selections are somehow familiar, but unique at the same time, picking the less common “standards”, and giving the listener a clear sense of something fresh and unique about this band that they like very much.
