Delfest announces activities, free Delfest, Old Crow Medicine Show Tickets

As the date draws near for the kickoff of the 2nd annual DelFest in Cumberland MD set for May 22 – 24, event promoters have announced some new activities for DelFest attendees to partake in. Up first is a special early-bird performance on the grandstand stage with the Steep Canyon Rangers, The Davisson Brothers Band and surprise guests on Thursday evening, May 21. Early entry is available on Thursday, May 21, from 5pm-11pm for $15 per person, payable on-site.
Ride the Bluegrass Express Excursion Train
Ride with DelFest stars on the Bluegrass Express. The regularly scheduled excursion train on the scenic Western Maryland Railroad, Thursday, May 21st will be steam powered and is co-sponsored by WAMU Bluegrass Country Radio in Washington DC and DelFest. The train will feature bluegrass performances from featured DelFest artists during the ride to Frostburg and a free DelFest All-Star Warm-Up Jam Performance at the Frostburg Depot during the lay-over.

Delfest is also offering a pair of tickets to the Old Crow Medicine Show in Richmond, VA on May 21 along with a pair of Adult 3-day passes to Delfest. Blueglass at Delfest? Not!
Due to a lack of a local mixed glass recycling facility in the Cumberland area, event organizers are asking this years festival attendees to help reduce the Delfest’s enviromental impact by packing out all glass containers and recycling them at home.
