Just a quick note to let you know the BluegrassJournal.com staff is taking some time off to attend the Bill Monroe Memorial Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival in sunny Bean Blossom, In.

Flat Rock Music Festival announces Fall lineup

Flat Rock, NC – The 14th annual Flat Rock Music Festival is gearing up for another festival season in the Blueridge mountains, and this year’s fall lineup is going to bring plenty of people and musicians back to the mountains. Music Lovers from all over the Southeast make Camp Ton-A-Wandah their fall destination spot where they can always find good friends, great music and a family filled weekend at the Flat Rock Music Festival.

Gene Autry Oklahoma Museum fundraiser begins with online auction

The Museum that houses hundreds of items about the B-Western films of the 1930s, ‘40s and ‘50s has ventured into high-tech. Its summer fundraising effort, scheduled for June 20 and 21, is being kicked off with an Online Auction, published at the Gene Autry Oklahoma Museum online.

“Part of our ‘Summer Jamboree’ fundraiser event is a Silent Auction,” said coordinator Mary Schutz, “so we thought we’d kick it up a notch and put the auction online and open it to others via this site.”…
