Cherryholmes contest on Twitter

Cherryholmes has joined in the fray that is tweeting and to spread the word they’re offering up a free CherryHolmes III CD and autographed photo to a few lucky followers on twitter.

According to a post on the groups’ MySpace Blog, the band is hoping to attract at least 300 new followers on the micro blogging service….

International Newgrass Festival Lays Roots in Bowling Green, KY

Bowling Green, Ky. – The world’s first International Newgrass Festival will take place August 21-23, 2009 at Ballance MotoX on the Historic Ballance Farms just north of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Headlining the three-day festival will be the surviving members of the band that started it all, the original New Grass Revival. Sam Bush, John Cowan and Curtis Burch will each perform with their new bands alongside many newgrass performers who have followed in their footsteps….

Fiddler Bulla, Bryan Sutton to perform at Violin Shop

Fiddler Luke Bulla takes the stage at The Violin Shop in Nashville, Tenn., at 8 p.m. Wednesday (July 1) as the Hot Fiddle Night series continues at the store.

He will be accompanied by flat-picking guitar ace Bryan Sutton….
