Bluegrass Heritage Festival 2009

Bluegrass Heritage Festival 2009

The Bluegrass Heritage Foundation has announced that it will present its second Bluegrass Heritage Festival on Saturday, September 19 at South Oaks Baptist Church, 5925 US Hwy. 287 in Arlington, Texas.

Josh Williams, 2008 IBMA and SPBGMA Guitar Player of the Year, will headline the Festival. Other fine groups scheduled to play include Star Canyon, The Herrin Family, Clear River, Salt Rock Rounders, Grass Notes, and Nickelville Road. We will also enjoy a special appearance by the sensational Toy Hearts from Birmingham, England!

A $20 festival admission includes banjo, mandolin, and guitar workshops and eight great bands playing in an air conditioned auditorium with great seating and sound. The Bluegrass Heritage Festival will have great door prize drawings and a silent auction with wonderful items like hotel stays, restaurant gift cards, tax return preparation services, and more to bid on. All proceeds support the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation.

Seating is limited, so get your tickets in advance. Your early ticket purchase helps the Foundation in many ways, so please support bluegrass music in North Texas by buying your tickets now! Download the mail-in ticket order form or use the Bluegrass Heritage Festival website to pay with a credit card or PayPal.

Your Help is Needed

The Bluegrass Heritage Foundation is still in need of more items for the silent auction. If you or your business would like to support the non-profit 501c3 Bluegrass Heritage Foundation, please contact Kristi Johnson about providing items for the Silent Auction. All proceeds will go to support bluegrass music in North Texas!
