Nashville, Tenn., — The Benton County T.R.R.D. Board has just announced plans for the 5th Annual Ryan Holladay Festival to be held on September 26-27, 2009. Artists scheduled to perform are The Ryan Holladay Band, Lonesome River Band, Travelin’ McCourys, Tony Rice Unit, Dailey & Vincent, and Wire and Wood.
Festival organizer, Terry Hudson said, “This should be our best festival yet! Ryan Holladay just turned 17 and is a junior at Camden Central High School in Camden. He has also become proficient on guitar and spends his spare time recording covers of all types of music!”
This year’s impressive line-up not only includes the incredible talents of Holladay and his band, but some of the hottest touring acts in acoustic music. Saturday, September 26th includes performances by the Lonesome River Band who currently hold the #1 Album and #1 Single spots on Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine’s National Survey Charts and the #1 Single on Bluegrass Music Profiles Magazine Top 30 Singles.
Saturday’s line-up also includes The Travelin’ McCourys comprised of Ronnie McCoury on mandolin, Rob McCoury on banjo, Jason Carter on fiddle, and bassist, Alan Bartram. Returning to the festival again this year are Wire and Wood.

Many remember musical prodigy, Ryan Holladay, when he began his career at the age of 5 years old performing on the Grand Ole Opry. He is credited with being the youngest performer on that famous stage and has gone on to perform at numerous other venues including, Carnegie Hall. Ryan also has numerous TV credits including The Oprah Winfrey Show (World’s Most Talented Kids episode), Nickelodeon’s “Figure it Out” and many more.
