Illinoisan Doug Knecht enlists friends to produce CD

Doug Knecht is becoming a legendary picker in bluegrass circles in Illinois and surrounding states.

Knecht’s mostly seen on stage with various bands filling in on banjo, but he’s also more than capable hanging a mandolin or guitar strap around his neck, or picking up the fiddle….

Pinecastle releases Grasstowne single to radio

Grasstowne has a new single on the Bluegrass Unlimited National Radio Survey this month. The song, “Big Big Heartaches,” is from Grasstowne’s forth-coming album “The Other Side of Towne.” The album is currently in the final stages of mastering and artwork production and will be available to radio very soon according to a statement from Pinecastle Records….
