Rounder recording artists garner numerous IBMA Award Nominations

Burlington, MA — Rounder Records is pleased to announce numerous nominations for its artists by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) for the 20TH Annual IBMA awards. The awards show will take place in Nashville at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Thursday, October 1 at 7:30 PM CST.

Continuing the pattern from previous years, Rounder recording artists earned multiple nominations, receiving 4 out of 5 nominations for Album of the Year, Recorded Event of the Year, and Banjo Player of the Year and also obtained 4 out 6 nominations for Entertainer of the Year.

The Dan Tyminski Band led the way with 9 nominations including Entertainer of the Year, Instrumental Group of the Year, and Album of the Year. TyminskiMale Vocalist of the Year while fellow band member Ron Stewart was nominated for 2 instruments, Banjo Player of the Year and Fiddle Player of the Year. Stellar duo Dailey & Vincent received 7 nominations while fiddle sensation Michael Cleveland and his band Flamekeeper collected 5 nominations. First time nominee Steve Martin picked up 6 nominations for The Crow: New Songs for the 5-String Banjo. Also receiving their first nominations are Alecia Nugent for Female Vocalist of the Year and Jesse Brock (Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper) for Mandolin Player of the Year.
