Grasstowne "The Other Side of Towne" (Pinecastle Records)

The Other Side Of Towne, Grasstowne’s newest CD on the Pinecastle label, is now available on all major download sites with availability of the physical CD to follow on Oct. 6th. Download sites such as Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster, Wal-Mart and iTunes already have the album for sale. Amazon is also taking pre-orders for the CD.

The new Grasstowne CD is also available to radio DJs for download from the Pinecastle Web site and has already been mailing hard copies to radio stations across the country.

Meanwhile, Pinecastle is gearing up for another major release, Susanville, by the Dixie Bee-Liners. It’s due on store shelves on Nov. 3.

Pinecastle is touting the Bee-Liners’ latest project as “a groundbreaking bluegrass concept album.”

The Bee-Liners are the the Roots Music Association’s 2008 Artists of the Year. Their new CD chronicles the aspects of driving the open road — destinations, journeys and stops along the way.

Finally, Pinecastle is reminding bluegrassers headed to the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Fan Fest in Nashville at the end of the month to get a Pinecastle 20th Anniversary scratch-off ticket. Ticketholders can go to the label’s Fan Fest booth and pick up free merchandise and memorabilia while supplies last.
