The Alison Brown Quartet will be opening for Indigo Girls at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn. on Wednesday, September 23. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the concert are available through Ticketmaster.
Alison Brown has collaborated with Indigo Girls on several albums, including her own 2005 release Stolen Moments (which includes their guest vocal appearance on Paul Simon’s “Homeward Bound”), but her appearance on Wednesday night at the Ryman marks the first time that she has opened a show for Indigo Girls.
This concert will be followed by shows on Friday, September 25 in Knoxville TN at The Bijou Theatre and Tuesday, September 29 in Charleston WV for a taping of Mountain Stage, both with Indigo Girls. In between, Alison and her band will be appearing at the Sebastopol Celtic World Music Festival in Sebastopol, California.
