The Bean Blossom Jamboree Foundation plans to make its presence known this week during the Uncle Pen Days festival at the Bill Monroe Memorial Bluegrass Music Park & Campground in Bean Blossom, Ind.
The festival opens Wednesday and runs through Saturday.
The foundation, which has hopes to purchase and preserve the park, will be promoting its memory brick wall project. People can order individual
engraved bricks for the project, which will be part of a wall at the festival grounds.
The four-day Uncle Pen Days festival includes a stellar line-up of more than 25 bluegrass bands, instrument and vocal workshops, jam sessions,
camping, food, vendors, flea market and fellowship.
Tickets can be purchased by phone (800) 414-4677 or at www.beanblossom.com
A highlight will be the Bluegrass Hall of Fame induction of Doc Watson – celebrating his contributions to bluegrass and folk music. The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday.
