Mashville Brigade "Bluegrass Smash Hits Vol. 1" (Rural Rhythm)

Nashville, Tenn., — Nashville’s bluegrass super-group, Mashville Brigade, will be available for select road dates beginning in 2010. On the road dates, the legendary Terry Baucom will be stepping in for Mashville co-founder Aaron McDaris on banjo, due to Aaron’s busy touring schedule with Rhonda Vincent and the Rage.

The band was formed almost three years ago by a group of friends (Aaron McDaris, Ashby Frank, Darrell Webb, Jim Van Cleve, and Randy Barnes) from various professional touring bands as a way to perform and have some fun together in their spare time while they were off the road. Since the formation of the group, it has become a “must see” event for any Bluegrass fan passing through Nashville on a Tuesday night. It is the only weekly Bluegrass act performing at Nashville’s bluegrass home, the “world famous” Station Inn. Well known country and bluegrass music entertainers such as Dierks Bentley, Ronnie Bowman, and Terri Clark, to name a few, have been seen sitting in with the Brigade. In fact, Dierks requested the group to perform with him at his annual Nashville Charity Motorcycle Ride last year.

The band released their critically acclaimed album “Bluegrass Smash Hits” on Rural Rhythm Records in 2008 as a tribute to the traditional bluegrass songs that they have performed on stage and in jams for years. The album continues to appear on Billboard’s Top 50 Bluegrass Album Chart – with numerous tracks making their way up various other charts. Songs from the album continue in heavy rotation on Sirius-XM Bluegrass Channel “Bluegrass Junction” show.
