Brand New Strings, an up and coming band, is preparing a strong pitch for the International Bluegrass Music Association’s World of Bluegrass.

For one, the group has finished recording its new CD with producer Steve Gulley of Grasstowne notoriety.

The band has also lined up a performance at the Hope River Entertainment After Hours Concert Tuesday, Sept. 29 at IBMA’s confab. The group will perform at 11:35 p.m. IBMA attendees can get more information from their program booklets.

During IBMA week, Brand New Strings will appear on WAMU radio and chat with radio host Lee Michael Demsey live on the air. Specific date and time will be posted on the band’s tour page.

The group will also be visiting with Dave Higgs for future airing on his National Public Radio show, “Bluegrass Breakdown.”

Band members are Tim Tipton, Randall Massengill, Mike Ramsey, Stuart Wyrick and Matt Leadbetter.
