MusiCares offers free mammograms for music industry women in need

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, MusiCares, in conjunction with several community resources and clinics, will offer on-site examinations and mammograms for women in the music industry in need of these services. According to information on the MusiCares section of Grammy.com, “If you are uninsured or underinsured and have not had a mammogram in more than one year, this opportunity is for you!”
The mammogram screenings will be offered in Nashville, Tenn. from Oct 12 through the 16. The screenings will be held at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center 1035 14th Avenue North Nashville, TN. Please call MusiCares at (615) 327-0050 to schedule an appointment!
Other cities offering the free MusiCares mammogram screenings are Memphis, Tenn. (Oct. 1 – Oct. 31), Los Angeles, Cali. (Oct. 24) and New York, NY (Oct. 28). Visit MusiCares News on grammy.com for more info.
