Guy Clark "Somedays The Song Writes You" (Dualtone Music Group)

Guy Clark, one of Nashville’s most influential songwriters, will discuss his life and career during an interview at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum this Friday, October 9. The hour-long interview will happen in the museum’s Ford Theater beginning at 1:00 p.m. The interview with Guy Clark is presented in partnership with the Next Big Nashville conference and festival.

Guy Clark’s latest album “Somedays The Song Writes You” was released September 22 on Dualtone Music Group. Rodney Crowell, Shawn Camp, and Gary Nicholson are among  Clark’s co-writers on “Somedays The Song Writes You.”

Ten out of Tenn Panel Discussion — 3:00 p.m.
The Ten out of Tenn Panel Discussion will feature the founders and artists involved with group that features emerging artists compilation CDs and Tour packages. The discussion will include film clips from the Ten Out of Tenn documentary, Any Day Now, and an acoustic performance. Panelists include Kristen and Trent Dabbs, founders of Ten Out of Tenn, and artists Butterfly Boucher, Andy Davis, Ashley Monroe, and K.S. Rhoads.

Panel Discussion: How Can I Help? Artists and Philanthropy — 11:00 a.m.
This panel is designed to explore artists, philanthropy, and charity in challenging economic times. Panelists will discuss how artists and their fans can help worthy causes when money and time is tighter than ever. Panelists include Billy Cerveny, Brite Revolution; Kenny Alphin and Jenny Dyer, Hope Through Healing Hands; Andrea Howat, Hanson’s Walk/Tom’s Shoes; Kellie Lutito and Matt Ward, Blood Water Mission; and Barrett Ward, Mocha Club. Moderated by Charlie Peacock from One.org.

The Guy Clark interview and other Next Big Nashville events at the museum are included with museum admission and is free to museum members and Next BIG Nashville badge holders, and conference attendees with wristbands.
