Ross Nickerson, the Banjo Teacher has released a brand new CD “Let’s Kick Some Ass” on the Bones Records imprint. The CD features a mix of well known cover tunes along with some unique original material that “any fan of bluegrass music will enjoy.”

As the CD’s title implies… and a quick listen confirms, if you like your bluegrass music loud and in your face, Nickerson’s “Let’s Kick Some Ass” appears to deliver on all fronts.

Nickerson enlisted the help of Scott Vestal to engineer the project. “Let’s Kick Some Ass” was recorded and mixed in Nashville during two different Sessions. Nickerson is surrounded by members of the award-winning band, Blue Highway on the new project which includes: Rob Ickes on dobro, Tim Stafford, guitar and vocal, Shawn Lane mandolin and fiddle and Wayne Taylor holding down the bass line and contributing on vocals.
